Hungry ALL The Time?

Whatever we think, say or do leaves a subconscious imprint in our mind.

Once an imprint’s made, it asks for its own repetition.

The more you think about something, the more ingrained that thought becomes, the deeper the imprint becomes, which makes it harder to get rid of it.

Say you’re not hungry but consider the thought of having some chocolate, ice cream, wine… whatever tickles your fancy.

You try to fight the thought, but end up giving into it and acting on it.

Now your mind has formed an imprint. A very powerful imprint if what you’ve eaten contains sugar (or sweeteners), as sugar acts on the addiction centers of the brain.

Once a similar situation comes around again, you’ve already established an unconscious tendency to use the very same strategy you used last time.

When a particular strategy is repeated a few times without questioning or reflection, a conditioning is created. Now you’re in big trouble, cos that behavior has become roboticized!

Now you’re a slave to your mind.

What I’m trying to say is that if you constantly think of acquiring wealth or material possessions, you’ll become more materialistic.

If you constantly think of sex, your appetite for it will increase.

If you constantly think of food, you’ll become hungrier.

To free yourself from your mind means you tell your mind what to think, not the other way around.

But how do you set yourself free?

You build new, healthier imprints that are so powerful they completely override the old ones…
