A Treat For The Tastebuds

Ingredients

3 mangoes, slightly ripe, peeled, deseeded and roughly chopped
1 tspoon mustard seeds
1-2 tspoon chilli powder
1 tspoon turmeric powder
1 tspoon curry powder
1 white onion, chopped
1-2 green chillis, finely chopped
1 tbspoon ground cinnamon
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 2″ piece ginger, grated
3 cardamoms, crushed
2 cloves, crushed
1/2 cup of organic coconut milk
2 tbspoons coconut oil
hymalayan rock salt, ground black pepper

Preparation

Heat a medium size pan under medium fire

Fry the mustard seeds in coconut oil. Cover and let the seeds pop

Reduce the heat and add turmeric, chillie powder, curry powder and fry for about 20 seconds

Add onion, green chillies, ginger, and garlic fry till fragrant

Add the rest of the ingredients except the coconut milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Cook covered for about 18 mins under low heat

Add the coconut milk and cook for another 3 mins
