All Curing Smoked Mackerel Paté

Mackerel is high in Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids, Selenium, Vitamin B12, Niacim, and is low in Sodium. It’s well known that eating oily fish improves brain function and memory. It also helps regulate hormones, it helps prevent cardiovascular diseases, strengthens the immune system, improves organ function, and regulates metabolism. It also helps ease migraine, arthritis and arthrosis pain!

Ingredients

400grs smoked mackerel

fresh dill, finely chopped (or fresh parsley)

 1 can of horseradish

the juice of half a lemon

ground black pepper

*you can also add a small natural greek yogurt but I prefer to go lactose free

Preparation

Put the mackerel, horseradish, lemon juice (and yogurt if you are using it) in a blender or food processor and whisk until blended to taste (I like my paté a little coarse).

Add the dill and sprinkle with black pepper.

Mix it all well and serve at room temperature or put it in the fridge for an hour or so.

Serve with a salad or spread on wheat&gluten free bread.
